For four years, the Australian Government has held the men in the Manus Island Detention Centre in limbo. Now the government has abandoned them, leaving them with a choice between having no food or water or moving into open facilities and facing violence from locals.
The situation is becoming dire, with experts warning of impending deaths if something is not done soon.

We hosted a Vigil on Monday night (20/11) at 6pm outside Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull’s Edgecliff Electoral Office. Hundreds of protesters gathered at Sydney’s Circular Quay on Sunday afternoon, voicing outrage at the government’s treatment of refugees on Manus Island.
More than 350 people called for the federal government to end its offshore detention policy.

The largely subdued, peaceful, group held a minute’s silence for the more than 300 men held on Manus Island.
Pastor Jarrod McKenna, who visited Manus Island last week addressed the crowd with a message from the men in detention.
