Abandoning…

Coming Next: a 3 week series on Matthew 14 & 15

Join us for a 3 week series – Abandoned to God – from Matthew 14 & 15 as we follow Jesus as he calls us to leave scarcity, security and superiority behind

  • Abandoning Scarcity (Matthew 14:13-21) – Jesus feeds te 5,000 – August 6th
  • Abandoning Security (Matthew 14:22-33) – Jesus walks on water – August 13th
  • Abandoning Superiority (Matthew 15:21-28) – Jesus and the Canaanite woman – August 19th

“Living with attitudes of entitlement carries tremendous spiritual costs.

Entitlement numbs us, grounding our sense of scarcity that is completely out of kilter with the abundance of creation. It keeps us looking for more, feeding both consumerism and addiction, and blinds us to the tremendous blessing of being part of the human community and living in a world of miracle.

The true gospel calls us to gratitude and contentment steeped in the graciousness of God.

But too often we find ourselves trapped in cycles of bickering and dissatisfaction, where nothing is ever enough.”
