Drop by at Halloween

All Hallows Eve
St George’s is looking forward to taking part in our local community’s enjoyment of Halloween, when people are out on the streets meeting neighbours and having fun together. As an Anglican church, we also stand in a tradition that has long used this point on the calendar to remember the dead and reflect on our own mortality and fears (the term ‘Halloween’ being derived from the fact that it falls on the eve of All Hallows, or All Saints Day on 1st November).
Drop past the church courtyard this All Hallows Eve (31st October 4:30-6:30pm) for COVID safe treats and to have your photo taken in front of a green screen background letting you have all kinds of crazy Halloween backdrops.
This will be a COVID safe event with only small groups of people allowed on to the church site in accordance with up to date regulations.
