Services and papers from Bill Lawton

During his 8 weeks as our Locum Minister Rev’d Dr Bill Lawton drew on his experience from being involved in the development of “A Prayer Book For Australia” (APBA), which we use in this parish, and introduced a number of new elements into our worship services. Some of the service sheats are included here for those who wish to look back over them.

A couple of people also asked if they could read more that Bill had written on someof the issues he raised, and Bill has kindly provided the following for those who may be interested.

Catholic-Anglican dialogue at the micro level: working as partners in inter urban ministry.

Shaping A Prayer Book for Australia, assessing the General Synod Liturgical Commission’s contribution to Prayer Book revision from 1986 to the production of A Prayer Book for Australia (APBA) in 1995.

Bill also contributed a chapter to the book Terry Robson, Failure is an Option: How Setbacks Breed Success, ABC Books, Sydney: Harper Collins, 2010.

He currently has in publication a chapter ‘The Role of Spiritual Values in Promoting and Supporting the Community Service Orientations of Indigenous Peoples‘. Details of the book are on this Web site: http://www.infoagepub.com/products/Religion-and-Spirituality.
