With increasing vaccinations amongst the general public, the public health risks from COVID-19 have been slowly declining in Greater Sydney. As a result, this Sunday both weekly services will recommence gathering in a hybrid form, with some joining onsite and others joining online via Zoom. In both locations, congregation members will participate in worship, fellowship, prayer and mutual listening and learning. Let us be patient with one another as we readjust to this format that enabled us to meet together safely over many months last year.
For those attending on zoom:
We will use the same zoom details as usually, follow this link: https://zoom.us/j/395714814. Or with your phone, dial in on this local number: (02) 8015 6011. When you hear the recorded message, enter the meeting number, 395 714 814, followed by the # key.
The zoom meetings will open half an hour beforehand and you can join anytime from 9am/2.30pm, when there is a chance for informal sharing and conversation. It would be excellent if you could connect at least 5-10 minutes before the service is due to start. Often services will include Holy Communion, so please have elements (bread and wine, or close as you can to these) at hand to be able to participate in this part of our service.
For those attending on site:
For those who would like to attend onsite, we will be implementing a range of measures to reduce public health risk.
- Please RSVP to info@paddington.church before Sunday so that we can keep track of numbers since space will be limited.
- You will also need to provide evidence of double vaccination. To help facilitate this, either download your certificate of COVID-19 vaccination to a mobile device, or bring a printed copy with you to be checked on entry. If you would like help, please contact David prior to Sunday. It is unlikely to be possible to retrieve this certification once you show up, as many people have discovered it can take some time.
- Additionally, those onsite will continue to care for one another and our community by wearing masks, checking in using a QR code, maintaining social distance, and refraining from singing.
- Most importantly, if you have any COVID-19 symptoms, are feeling unwell, or have reason to think you may have been in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case, please join us online (after seeking any relevant medical testing or care).
