Join us on Sunday 30th September from 2-4pm in a special Bees Wax Wrap Workshop.
Many people want to cut down on single-use plastic. One simple way in the kitchen is to replace plastic wrap with re-useable wraps made from beeswax.
In this hands on workshop,Jessica Morthorpe will teach you how to make them, using wax from the rectory hive on site.
Byron Smith will give an introduction to bees in the local area and beekeeping. Weather permitting, we may collect some honey from the hive.
Participants will leave with two beeswax wraps and beeswax lip balm.
This is primarily an adults event due to working with hot wax, however, a child who would be working closely with a parent would be welcome.
